Brighton’s form hasn’t been impressive lately – they lost their last three Premier League matches, even though two of them were against Manchester United and Liverpool. The Seagulls will be disappointed by their 4-2 loss against Fulham after they were leading 0-2 at half-time. Chris Hughton’s team aren’t completely safe from relegation and this game is very important for them. Watford are on a four-game unbeaten run in the league before losing to Tottenham in the previous round by conceding twice in the last minutes of the game.

Team News

For Brighton, Alireza Jahanbakhsh has returned from international duty and could make the bench, while Bernardo is also back in training after an injury and is an option for this game. Watford were without Abdoulaye Doucoure against Tottenham, and if he’s not fit here it will be a huge loss for them. Watford’s Manager Javi Gracia said that Tom Cleverly is still unfit and it looks like he won’t start the match.

Prediction

Brighton are a team that doesn’t score many goals but also doesn’t concede a lot. After the goal fest against Fulham, the manager Christ Hughton would like to bring the stability back into his side, so we don’t expect many goals in this fixture. In addition, the previous seven games between these two teams had under 2.5 goals in each one of them. Only one team has scored in the last four times these two teams met, so whoever scores first here is very likely to end up as the winner. However, both teams are unpredictable, and it could go either way, so we would suggest going for the safer bet of under 2.5 goals.

Prediction: Under 2.5 Goals @ 8/11 at bet365
