Crystal Palace vs. Fulham – Betting Tips and Premier League Preview

Fulham achieved a crucial victory this week and are now six points from escaping the relegation zone, but there are six teams currently who all want to stay up, so the battle won’t be easy. Crystal Palace eliminated Tottenham from the FA Cup and drew away against in-form Southampton. However, they lost their star player Wilfred Zaha after he was sent off in that game and will have to face Fulham without him. On the last day of the transfer window, Palace signed Michy Batshuayi on loan from Chelsea, but it’s unlikely that he’ll make his debut in this game.

Team News

In addition to Zaha, Palace could also be without Cheikhou Kouyaté and James Tomkins who both were injured during the midweek game and will be assessed for this one. If they don’t play, then Max Meyer and Scott Dann will probably replace them in the first eleven. Both of Palace’s goalkeeper Vicente Guaita and Wayne Henessey are fit for the game and it looks like Guaita is the number one for the moment. Schlupp will most likely replace Zaha, which means that Roy Hodgson can switch to 4-4-2 with Townsend and Ayew up front.

Fulham will be without Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and Alfie Mawson who are both injured. Joe Bryan received a knock in the game against Southampton and is a doubt for this one.

Prediction

Both teams need the win here, so this could be a very exciting London derby. However, Fulham’s away record this season has been abysmal. The Cottagers have won only two points on the road and their hopes of surviving relegation will rely mostly on beating teams at home. Palace have a decent record at Selhurst Park and even though they are without Wilfred Zaha for this game, we think that they have enough quality to win all three points.
